Ex-Huddersfield Town boss Simon Grayson marked the 300th consecutive game after which he gave the exact same press conference, a new Football League record.
The record spans Grayson's time across four different clubs - Blackpool, Leeds and Town as well as current club Preston North End - and is being seen as a landmark moment in managerial platitudes.
"Blah blah positive attitude blah blah working hard", Grayson droned after his Preston side beat Tranmere to maintain his unbeaten run in front of the Deepdale fans.
"Comfortable, professional", he continued as journalists from local and national papers struggled to keep their eyes open. "Really working hard on the training pitch" he concluded in a manner that was entirely predictable to anyone unlucky enough to have had to sit through any of his previous 299 media conferences.
